Eastern Weft is a weaving cooperative in Vientiane, Laos. Their work is a fusion of traditional Lao techniques with contemporary design and function. Their textiles are created entirely by hand using natural, locally sourced dyes; for example, indigo, ebony or marigolds.
They create beautiful hand-woven textiles, and at the same time, provide sustainable livelihoods for skilled but disadvantaged young weavers.
